UNIALFA holds international event on Competitiveness

“Competitiveness, Collaboration and Economic Recovery” is the theme of the Latin-American MOC Network. This event is part of the Microeconomics of Competitiveness (MOC) Program of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, coordinated by Professor Michael E. Porter, from Harvard Business School. This is the first time that an event of this magnitude is held at the Alves Faria University Center.

THE MOC Latam 2020 Meeting was initially going to take place at FADISP, in São Paulo (an institution that is also part of the José Alves Group). However, due to the current global health context (coronavirus pandemic), the event had to be adapted and gained the virtual videoconferencing format. Aimed at students of the Professional Master's in Administration, Professional Master's in Regional Development and professors at UNIALFA, MOC Latam takes place on May 20th and 21st.

The event has worldwide relevance, as will discuss the future of Latin America. Economic and social foundations will be addressed so that the region becomes competitive, always under the approach of the great potential that integration and collaboration – clusters can offer to the countries of the continent.

According to the coordinator of the Master's in Regional Development, Marcelo Ladvocat, during the MOC Latam, integrated research actions on competitiveness will be discussed among the various representatives of Latin American countries.

“This is a international event published on the MOC worldwide network Harvard. It is a unique experience to watch presentations by researchers from other countries and see the convergence of ideas on the topic”, explains Ladvocat.
