On Wednesday, February 18th, UNIALFA, through its Conecta+ program, promoted initiatives aimed at welcoming and retaining students, focusing on academic integration and personal and professional development from the first semesters of their undergraduate studies.
The initiative offers support in time management, study techniques, mental health, and preparation for the job market, and is carried out in all three units (Perimetral, Mutirão, and T-1).
With the theme "Future – The time is now," this edition of Conecta+ was one of several that will come to welcome and advise students, especially those in their first and second semesters. At the Perimetral Unit, the program included a lecture given by Sarah Machado. At the T-1 Unit, Admaicon Barros led the lecture.
In Mutirão, the lecture was led by UNIALFA's educational advisor, Keyla Avelino. During the meeting, the advisor highlighted the objective of bringing students closer to the institution and presenting the resources available for academic support.
“The future isn’t built in four years; it’s built on daily decisions. So that’s what we came to talk about in this lecture today, to show a little about the opportunities and advancements they can have regarding their studies here at the institution,” Keyla emphasized.
Developed by the Pedagogical Support Center (NAP) and the Quality Management Department, Conecta+ caters to both freshmen and returning students, encouraging autonomy, engagement, and holistic development throughout their university journey. Key aspects of the program include practical guidance on organizing study routines, balancing work and personal life, as well as meetings and lectures with guest professionals.
Conecta+ is an ongoing initiative of UNIALFA, aimed at strengthening the academic experience and supporting students throughout their university education.
