On Saturday, August 29th, UNIALFA held a social action event at the Casa de Deus Community Work Center (CTC), with the participation of students and professors from different courses at the institution. The initiative offered services and guidance to the community, bringing academic training closer to the real needs of the population.
During the morning, participants had access to services in the areas of Aesthetics and Cosmetics, Nutrition, Biomedicine, and Business. The activity also included the collection and donation of food, reinforcing the social character of the initiative.
Knowledge applied for the benefit of the community.
Students from the Aesthetics and Cosmetology course provided acupuncture and auriculotherapy treatments. Meanwhile, the Nutrition course offered bioimpedance assessments and guidance on food storage and hygiene, contributing to awareness of health care and food safety.
In the field of Biomedicine, blood glucose tests and blood pressure measurements were carried out, offering the community the opportunity to monitor important health indicators.
The Business School also participated in the initiative, with activities focused on resume writing and career guidance. The goal was to support participants in organizing information for the job market and strengthening their professional trajectories.
University extension and practical training
The social action represented an opportunity for the students to put into practice the knowledge developed in the classroom, under the guidance of professors, in direct contact with the community.
For UNIALFA, initiatives like this strengthen the institution's commitment to university outreach, the civic education of students, and social responsibility. By uniting different areas of knowledge in a single action, the institution contributes to the development of the community and broadens the students' educational experience.
