Mental health was in the spotlight last Saturday (20), when UNIALFA promoted, at the Mutirão Unit, a special meeting on emotional regulation and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), around practical reflections to better deal with everyday challenges.
The event, organized by the Psychology course, was attended by psychologists and professors Ana Carolina Aquino, responsible for the project, and Luísa Fernandes, as well as Psychology graduate Patrick Ramon Rezende Ramos, who shared experiences and strategies based on DBT.
Among the topics covered were self-control techniques, coping with impulses, and strengthening bonds, highlighting how DBT can help both prevent emotional disorders and develop greater balance and well-being.
The activity is part of the Extension and Scientific Initiation Project in DBT Skills Training, developed by UNIALFA's Center for Psychological Studies, Research, and Practices. The goal is to provide spaces for dialogue and learning about emotional health, bringing the university closer to the community.
With initiatives like this, UNIALFA reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive education of its students and to promoting mental health and human development in society.
