UNIALFA promotes Cumbuca Literária as an incentive to reading

UNIALFA held the first edition of Cumbuca Literária, a project aimed at encouraging reading and reflective dialogue among students. The event took place on Tuesday (14) at the Perimetral Unit, and on Wednesday (15) at the Bueno T1 and Bueno Mutirão units, from 6 pm to 7 pm.

In this edition, participants discussed the first two chapters of the book "The Triple Focus: A New Approach to Education," by Daniel Goleman and Peter Senge. The book proposes a reflection on the socio-emotional and cognitive skills necessary for new generations to thrive in a hyperconnected and constantly changing world.

Cumbuca Literária is an initiative that seeks to awaken students' enjoyment of reading, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary dialogue. The project also encourages the development of emotional and social skills, reinforcing UNIALFA's commitment to a humane and comprehensive education.

During the meetings, students exchanged insights on the topics covered in the work, which explores the importance of internal, interpersonal, and systemic focus in contemporary education.

Reading The Triple Focus makes us reflect on how technology and human relationships shape learning. It's a book that inspires educators and students to rethink the role of empathy and mindfulness in academic education.

The event consolidated the Cumbuca Literária space as an environment for exchange, dialogue and learning, strengthening students' ties with the Library and the Psychopedagogical Support Center (NAP).
