On June 14th, UNIALFA participated in the Social Action event at Praça do Violeiro in Goiânia, offering free health services, guidance, and support to the community. The activity involved the participation of students and professors from the institution's health-related courses.
During the event, students and faculty from the Biomedicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing programs performed blood pressure and blood glucose tests, contributing to the promotion of preventive health and the identification of possible changes that require professional monitoring.
The Nutrition course also participated in the initiative, providing nutritional guidance, bioimpedance assessment, and Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation and guidance. The services aimed to educate the public about dietary habits, body composition, and health and wellness-related care.
Meanwhile, academics and professors from the Physiotherapy department offered relaxing massages, providing a moment of self-care, tension relief, and attention to the participants' quality of life.
UNIALFA's presence in the event reinforced the institution's commitment to university outreach, bringing students closer to the real needs of the community and expanding the practical experience of future healthcare professionals.
More than just a service activity, participation in the Social Action at Praça do Violeiro represented an opportunity to promote health, care, and citizenship, strengthening the bond between the university, the community, and social responsibility.
