The Alves Faria University Center – UNIALFA inaugurates the first charging point for electric cars in an educational institution in Goiânia. The project, conceived by the corporate operations manager of the José Alves Group, Wagner Guedin, reinforces a commitment to sustainability and environmental education.  

 

The idea came about during the installation of photovoltaic plants for the Coca-Cola Bandeirantes Distribution Centers. Initially, the objective was to develop a small photovoltaic energy project for educational purposes. However, in partnership with the supplier, the suggestion of creating Vaga Verde arose. 

 

Vaga Verde consists of a kit of nine solar panels that generate energy for UNIALFA in a system called zero grid, in which the energy generated is instantly consumed by the unit. Along with these panels, an electric car charger was installed. 

 

According to the intelligence and operations coordinator at Grupo José Alves, Arthur Alves Hamu, this supply point not only provides clean and sustainable energy, but also serves as a study model. “It allows students and visitors to see in practice how a vehicle charger and a photovoltaic system work,” he highlights.  

 

The roof is made up of nine 505Wp panels and three 1500W micro inverters, totaling a power of 4.54kWp. The vehicle charger has a power of 12kW, making it efficient and fast for charging electric vehicles.
