“The excitement is wonderful, because I was looking forward to it. When I researched this college, I saw that UNIALFA represented what I was looking for in terms of its structure, its teachers, and its reputation in the market. I only heard good things about it, and I had great references!” (Wilker Ribeiro de Lima)

The first week of classes was full of activities to entertain, interact and cheer up the freshmen and seniors. Popcorn and Coca-Cola were distributed. Games and fierce competitions took place, such as tug of war, circuits and pies in the face, with prizes for the best students. All of this was done to welcome our students in the way they deserve.
Since Monday (02/03), the academic environment of the Alves Faria University Center has been full of jokes, smiles, disputes, hugs and lots of fun. The proposal of UNIALFA Conecta is to harmoniously integrate freshmen with veterans and thus create an atmosphere of satisfaction between both. Participants in the various activities and artistic interventions discovered more about the institution and that the most important thing is to compete.
Artists took to the stage to perform some of their musical work. And during several breaks between classes, the less professional students also had the opportunity to sing karaoke. Entertainers with accordions, guitars and lots of noise played with the students and at the same time shared important information about the NPJ, which is the Legal Practice Center, the Internship Center, among others.
Dozens of students participated in penalty shootouts, dodgeball, tug-of-war, circuit and table football. Success was only guaranteed thanks to the support of the Athletics Department (Razzia), which spared no effort to be with the students. The activities program included the Bueno unit on Monday (02/03), both morning and evening. The Perimetral unit, where we have the largest number of students, had activities from Monday to Friday (02/07).
Wanilde Francisca Cavalcante Lima, a freshman in the Business Administration course, was thrilled to be entering a college after 15 years without studying. She had finished high school and had never had the opportunity to pursue a higher education course. “Coming here and witnessing this excitement was magical! I was surprised by UNIALFA,” she adds.
Since he was a child, Wilker Ribeiro de Lima dreamed of studying Electrical Engineering. “In high school, I fell in love with engineering. And I wanted to do it ever since, but it took me a while to graduate. Last year I was going to study another course, but it wasn’t really my choice – it was more to please other people. So I decided to study engineering because I love it inside me,” he explains.
Already in the first week of classes, freshman Wilker's dream now is to finish his Electrical Engineering degree and set up his own company. "I want to be an example of overcoming for my son," he says with conviction.
