In celebration of International Pharmacists' Day, celebrated on September 25th, UNIALFA hosted a special meeting for Pharmacy students in Auditorium D of the Perimetral Unit. The event highlighted the profession's growing importance and its essential role in promoting health.
The event featured a lecture by Professor Lucíola Fued, who addressed the topic "Pharmaceutical Practices in Integrative and Complementary Health Practices" (Integrative and Complementary Health Practices). During the presentation, she discussed ways to expand these practices within the pharmaceutical field and their contribution to more humane and comprehensive patient care.
The initiative reinforces the institution's commitment to training professionals who go beyond technical skills, with critical thinking, social responsibility, and sensitivity to individual needs. In a scenario of population longevity and new health challenges, the role of pharmacists becomes even more essential for collective well-being.
