
On May 13th, UNIALFA held a special program to celebrate Nurses' Day, bringing together students, professors, coordinators, and guests at the Maria Dilda Theater, on the Perimetral campus. The event aimed to value nursing, strengthen the professional identity of students, and highlight the relevance of nurses' role in society.
With the theme "Mental health of professionals and students in the health field: self-care strategies," the program included a lecture given by Raimundo Aristeu Santos, who addressed the emotional challenges faced by professionals and students in the health field, as well as the importance of mental health care throughout training and professional practice.
Reflection on care and humanized education.
During the meeting, topics related to emotional balance, academic routine, professional overload, and self-care practices were discussed, reinforcing the need for training that considers not only technical qualifications but also the human development of future professionals.
The participation of students, faculty, and guests also provided opportunities for integration, recognition, and exchange of experiences, strengthening the feeling of belonging to the profession.
