UNIALFA opens registration for the 9th CEPE and for the Artistic-Cultural Competition.

With the theme "Women's Sciences: Stories that inspire," the event will be held from October 19th to 21st and will feature a showcase of artistic productions.

UNIALFA has opened the registration and submission period for the 9th UNIALFA Teaching, Research and Extension Congress (CEPE). This year's event will have the theme "Their Science: Stories that Inspire," highlighting the leading role of women in knowledge production and the contribution of women to different areas of science, education, technology, culture, and society.

The congress will be held between October 19th and 21st, 2026, with activities scheduled from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Registration and submission of academic papers can be done until October 2nd, 2026, through the event's official website: www.cepeunialfa.com.br.

In addition to the academic program, the 2026 edition will also feature the UNIALFA 2026.2 Artistic-Cultural Competition, an initiative that seeks to encourage artistic expression, creativity, and the appreciation of culture among the institution's students.

The theme highlights stories that inspire.

The choice of theme reinforces the importance of recognizing the trajectories of women who have marked the history of science and continue to inspire new generations of students, researchers, and professionals. By bringing this discussion to the academic environment, CEPE broadens the debate on representation, equity, and the participation of women in the construction of knowledge.

The proposal also invites participants to reflect on who produces science, what stories are told, and how the university can contribute to giving visibility to different trajectories, discoveries, and contributions.

Artistic and Cultural Competition

The UNIALFA 2026.2 Artistic-Cultural Competition will have the same theme as the congress: "Their Sciences: Stories that inspire". The initiative is aimed at students regularly enrolled at UNIALFA, in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, in the Lato Sensu and Stricto Sensu modalities.

Registration for the contest is free and open until September 21, 2026, through the UNIALFA website. Each participant may submit only one artistic work, in a single category. The available categories are Photography, Poetry, and Visual Arts: drawing or painting.

The works must be original, unpublished, and directly related to the contest theme. The work may focus on a specific woman or address, more broadly, the presence, trajectory, contributions, and leadership of women in science and different areas of knowledge.

Delivery, exhibition and award ceremony

The artistic production must be physically delivered by October 13, 2026, to the UNIALFA Internship Center. For information and guidance on submitting the work, participants can contact us by phone at (62) 99676-4232 or by email. internship@unialfa.com.br.

The selected works may be presented in an exhibition promoted by UNIALFA between October 20th and 22nd, 2026, at a location to be announced by the institution. The results of the competition will be announced on October 22nd, during an artistic and cultural event at UNIALFA, and subsequently published on the institution's official channels.

The prize will be awarded to the top three finishers in the overall ranking of the Contest:

  • The first place winner will be awarded personalized GJA kits;
  • The second-place winner will be awarded personalized GJA kits;
  • The 3rd place winner will receive personalized GJA kits.

*The awards will be presented by the Rector of UNIALFA or by a formally designated representative.

CEPE integrates teaching, research, outreach, and culture.

CEPE is a space dedicated to the socialization of knowledge, the exchange of academic experiences, and the strengthening of scientific initiation. The program seeks to involve students, professors, researchers, and the academic community in activities that bring together teaching, research, outreach, and cultural production.

During the congress, participants will have the opportunity to present papers, share research results, participate in academic activities, and broaden the dialogue between different areas of knowledge. With the artistic and cultural competition, the event also expands the ways in which students can participate, valuing art as an expression of knowledge, sensitivity, and social reflection.

With the holding of the 9th UNIALFA Teaching, Research and Extension Congress, the institution reaffirms its commitment to academic training, scientific production, university extension, culture and the appreciation of themes that contribute to a more plural, critical education connected to contemporary challenges.
