Ephemeral or transitory architecture is the area of architecture that designs temporary environments, aiming to objectify (make a physical object) a concept, idea, story or experience, for a short or limited period. The word 'experience' was considered the 'Word of the Year' by Forbes in 2018, several articles have been published demonstrating the growing demand of the population and the adaptation of companies to this new market and business reality, where, for example, people no longer go to coffee shops just to drink coffee, but rather to live an experience, see the coffee being ground on the spot, participate in the process. Through a music and art festival, it is possible to use the "user experience" to generate opportunities and engagement for new artists and the local population, fostering culture, the exchange of experiences and diversity among tribes. Musical styles sometimes define the lifestyle of their audience, so that they live within a stereotype and consequently within a “tribe” in which their members identify (those who listen to country music frequent certain bars and farms, prefer pickup trucks, like barbecues, etc. Rock audiences tend to like motorcycles, motorcycle meetings, festivals, hot drinks, playing guitar, etc.). On the other hand, music is influenced by the processes of cultural modification and adaptation of the tribes they represent. “Does art imitate life or does life imitate art?” The process is symbiotic, both influence and are influenced by each other at all times. The configuration and technical specificities of this architectural model allow it to be transported between different areas of the city and between cities, in addition to the adaptation of its scale, relative to both empty spaces (permanence and transition of the audience) and the structure. Music as the main object of the project alludes to the representative character of Goiânia – GO in the Brazilian music scene as a cradle of artistic talents, country music and independent rock. The latter is currently influenced by various national and international genres fostered by the internet and globalization processes, but it still has strong roots and a strong attachment to its traditional music. The festivals and events that take place today in Goiânia, Goiás, such as Villa Mix, Bananada, Deu Praia, A Casa, etc., feature only renowned artists and 15 artists who are currently relevant in the current music market, and do not provide opportunities for local artists (small and medium-sized) who do not have space or participation in the media structure to perform. Given the cultural diversity presented through cultural events, the aim of this project is to develop an ephemeral and itinerant architectural structure with adequate and flexible infrastructure that allows a music and art festival to be held in open spaces such as squares, parks and plots of land.
