TCCI EPHEMERAL ARCHITECTURE

The way of life in large cities has changed over time. In the last century, people have been increasingly driven by a greater number of multiple tasks in both their personal and professional lives. The latter leads professionals to become workaholics, as so many responsibilities trigger stress (psychological, physical or social). There are several methods to help relieve stress, two of which are sports and music. On the other hand, there is ephemeral architecture, which is considered temporary, which includes festivals, with artistic and cultural purposes, and which benefit the community, also becoming a place for relaxation and mental and physical distancing from everyday life. The research is based on content from authors related to stress and festivals, three case studies, namely Psicodália, Burning Man and Parookaville. This Final Course Work project aims to understand the theme and propose a distinct typology of music festival that relates to activities such as sports and others, providing contact with nature and, consequently, as a complement to stress management.
