STUDENT HOUSING: STUDENT HOUSING AND CONTAINER ARCHITECTURE

THEME: STUDENT HOUSING: STUDENT HOUSING AND CONTAINER ARCHITECTURE
Author of the project: Isabelle Jordanne Rodrigues and Castro
Graduation Period: 10th period

The Student Housing project was developed based on some behavioral observations of students who are studying or have studied some courses at the Alves Faria University Center, a Perimetral unit in Goiânia - Goiás, as well as some other students from different student units who had to leave their cities and family circles so that at some point they could have the opportunity to enter universities and academic centers in a metropolis with greater availability of undergraduate courses.

From then on, a project was developed called Student Housing: Student Housing with Container Architecture, where 8 modules were developed, consisting of a first and second floor, where each module was designed to house 8 students.

These modules used two 40-foot containers and two 20-foot containers, which were responsible for the structuring and formal composition, since the original characteristics of the containers were maintained. Two other modules were inserted into the land, one being a study room that had five 20-foot containers and one residential module accessible to people with reduced mobility. The entire project was designed to be based on the concept of housing and integrating people from different cultures and peoples, resulting in cultural growth through daily and social coexistence.
