In the book “Innovation, transformation and culture”, chapter 9: “Gamification of learning: a reflection on the use of games in the transmission of educational content” brings the importance of gamification in student learning. Two of the six authors of the article are professors at UNIALFA, Fabrício Silva and Ludmila Silva.
Gamification is the use of game elements in the teaching-learning process. For Professor Fabricio, “the use of gamification is a way to learn in a playful and fun way what is normally considered boring and dull,” he points out.
She also remembers the challenges of teaching mathematics, physics and chemistry, which are the basis of engineering in general. According to Fabricio, “gamification is a way of overcoming the difficulties faced by students who do not learn in the traditional way. Often, students learn without realizing that they are learning,” he adds.
