
The professor of Business courses at UNIALFA, Euripedes Junior, was recently elected Advisor to the Regional Economic Council of the 18th Region – CORECON/GO, obtaining approval from almost 60% of the votes of the economists participating in the election.
According to the professor, the role of a CORECON advisor is similar to that of a legislative politician, such as city councilors, deputies and senators. He highlighted that advisors are responsible for approving and proposing projects that can develop the profession of economist in Goiás, exemplifying the possibility of partnerships with educational institutions, such as UNIALFA, for the exclusive promotion of courses.
The professor also emphasized that the election represents an active voice of the IES within the professional council. He reiterated his commitment to education and the strengthening of the profession, highlighting the importance of joint actions between educational institutions, government and companies.
Regarding the expectations of the position, Euripedes Junior expressed optimism and the intention to contribute to the society of Goiás throughout the three-year term. The professor also reaffirmed his willingness to assist the board in the execution of ongoing and future projects, recognizing the challenges of the position, which demands time and dedication, but also provides great personal gratification.
