What will I be able to do after the course?

At the end of the course, the professional specialized in physical training and sports nutrition will be able to guide (nutritionists) and prescribe (physical education professionals) personalized training programs for different profiles and objectives, taking into account the specific needs of each individual, from high-performance athletes to amateur practitioners. You will have mastery of various models of periodization and training prescription, as well as in-depth knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics and the principles of sports nutrition. In addition, you will be able to guide (physical education professionals) and prescribe (nutritionists) the most appropriate dietary practices to optimize physical performance, muscle recovery and promote health in general. The professional will also be able to perform physical and functional assessments, develop nutritional periodization strategies aligned with training and work in multidisciplinary teams to enhance the results of your clients.

Methodology

Our methodology offers comprehensive training focused on practice, enabling you to work safely and efficiently in the areas of physical training and sports nutrition. We integrate up-to-date theoretical content with an intense practical approach and provide easy-to-access resources, ensuring that you stand out in your career and make a difference in the market. In-person classes will be led by experts in the field, focusing on an active methodology that places the student at the center of the learning process. The course involves case studies, practical classes in gyms and weight training centers, project development and several practical activities. The postgraduate course in Physical Training and Sports Nutrition is aimed at nutritionists, teachers and physical education professionals, both recent graduates and those with experience in the field. This program aims to develop and improve essential skills and competencies for planning, prescribing and implementing nutritional plans and physical training programs for different audiences. Participants will obtain results that will not only promote advancement in their careers, but will also benefit the people they serve.

What are the objectives of the course?

The objectives of the postgraduate course in Physical Training and Sports Nutrition at UNIALFA are to provide comprehensive and advanced training to qualify physical education professionals and nutritionists in the areas of physiology, daily nutrition and specific nutrition for sports. In addition, students will acquire knowledge about cardiorespiratory and neuromuscular training strategies, with an emphasis on hypertrophy and weight loss. Through this integrated approach, the course aims to develop the ability to create effective and personalized dietary and physical exercise programs, meeting the needs of different audiences and promoting significant results in the physical performance and health of clients.

 

Specific objectives:

 

  • Acquire fundamental knowledge in physiology, bioenergetics and nutrition: Provide students with a solid foundation in exercise physiology, bioenergetics and basic principles of nutrition, enabling them to understand how these factors influence physical performance and health, and how to apply them in professional practice.
  • Provide training for guidance and prescription of personalized diets: Enable students to develop and prescribe personalized diets, taking into account the specific needs of different audiences, such as athletes, people in the process of losing weight and individuals with different health conditions, promoting effective and sustainable results.
  • Develop skills for guiding and prescribing physical training plans: Enable students to create and implement physical training plans aimed at specific objectives, such as hypertrophy, weight loss and improving sports performance, using cardiorespiratory and neuromuscular training strategies adapted to the characteristics of each client.
