What will I be able to do after the course?

The professional trained in this course will be able to:

  • Supervise, coordinate and technically guide the SESMT;
  • Assess risk conditions, workplaces, machines and equipment and intervene to ensure OHS;
  • Plan and develop risk management and control techniques;
  • Inspect, evaluate and carry out expert assessments, arbitrate, issue opinions, technical reports and indicate control measures for environmental risks;
  • Carry out accident investigation, proposing preventive and corrective measures;
  • Develop and manage OSH programs;
  • Design fire protection systems and rescue plan and emergency plan;
  • Inspect and monitor workplaces, delimiting dangerous areas;
  • Specify, implement, control and monitor collective and individual protection systems, ensuring quality and efficiency;
  • Guide specific safety training and advise on the development of general training, with regard to OSH;
  • Inform workers of the risk conditions to which they may be exposed when performing their activities, as well as implement measures that eliminate or mitigate such risks.

For professionals who have completed an undergraduate course in the areas of Engineering, Architecture, Geology or Agronomy.

What are the objectives of this course?

Professionals who specialize in Occupational Safety and Engineering play an extremely important role in the market. Their main function is to work in occupational health and safety management in medium and large companies in a wide range of sectors.

 

To this end, the aim is to minimize losses and damages that may occur, including human injuries, material damage to machines, equipment, facilities and the environment. But that's not all; the responsibility of occupational safety engineers goes far beyond the need to minimize the number of accidents. They must manage professionals qualified to deal with occupational health and safety processes.

Lamartine Moreira

Lamartine Moreira is the president of the Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy of Goiás (Crea-GO), an associate member of the Brazilian Institute of Assessments and Expertise (Ibape-GO) and a national reference in Diagnostic Engineering, having worked in the area for almost 20 years, with an emphasis on judicial expertise. A civil, agricultural and occupational safety engineer, in addition to having a degree in Law, he has a postgraduate degree in Diagnostic Engineering. He has experience in the construction of vertical buildings, highways and entrepreneurship in the civil construction sector.

Fabio Souza Gomes

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Faculdade Latino Americana (2007), a Master's degree from Universidade Estadual de Goiás (2013) and a Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina (2010). In 2015, he specialized in Occupational Safety Engineering. He taught Thermodynamics, Thermal Machines, Automotive Vehicles, Metrology and Solid Mechanics II for 9 years. In addition to having taught classes in the Postgraduate course, specifically in the Postgraduate course in Occupational Safety Engineering. He also has extensive experience in the automotive segment, and provides training and courses in Industrial Process Units, based on the Regulatory Standard of the Ministry of Labor NR 13, Boilers and Pressure Vessels. He is certified by SNQC (Brazilian Association of Non-Destructive Testing and Inspections - ABENDI) in LPN2G. He works in technical consultancy and judicial expertise in matters related to machinery, equipment and automobiles. He was currently Administrative Director of MUTUA - Caixa de Assistência dos Profissionais da Engenharia, an agency linked to the CONFEA/CREA system.

Paul Henry Vargas

Graduated in: Environmental and Sanitary Engineering. Postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety Engineering; in Environmental Education and ESG. Experience: 11 years as an environmental analyst in the automotive industry, 4 years teaching in higher education, 2 years as a course coordinator in higher education, 2 years as an urban cleaning manager at the city hall of Anápolis, 8 years as a project manager. He is currently the director of urban infrastructure services in Goiânia and has been an inspector at the Anápolis engineering house for 4 years.

Aniel Ribeiro de Carvalho

13 years of experience in the area of occupational safety and environment. Experience in the area of implementation of occupational and operational processes. Degree in environmental engineering – sanitary engineering and occupational safety. EHS – ISOS – quality and safety certification auditor. Rigger specialist. Specialist in cargo handling and transportation. Firefighting – rescue – urgency and emergency instructor.

Ana Renata

Graduated in Civil Engineering from PUC Campinas (SP); Postgraduate in Occupational Safety from FESURV; Graduated in Occupational Safety Engineering in 2010; MBA in Environmental Management from FESURV; MBA in Auditing, Expertise and Environment from IPOG GO; Worked as a freelancer from 2000 to 2004, with the preparation and construction of residential projects; Engineer for the city of Rio Verde from 2005 to 2008, accounting for public works to the TCM (Court of Auditors of Municipalities); Water and sewage maintenance engineer in the Federal District from 2009 to 2012, under the supervision of CAESB; Worked at Novacap, in Brasília from 2013 to 2014 as a budget engineer, I oversaw part of the work on the Mané Garrincha Stadium; Judicial expert at TRT 18 from 2015 to 2018, being appointed to prepare expert reports on Unhealthiness and Dangerousness; Counselor at CREA-GO from 2015 to 2018, through SENGE (Union of Engineers of Goiás) and I am a director member of AGEST (Association of Occupational Safety Engineers of Goiás) from 2014 to 2023. Currently, she has been at CREA-GO since March 2019 as an Institutional Advisor, working with CREA-GO Jovem since 2021, also with institutional lectures on legislation and ethics, professional appreciation, among others.
