THE Special Education Support Center – NAEE from the Alves Faria University Center – UNIALFA, is a department that integrates the Teaching and Learning Quality Assurance Management, responsible for its purpose offer pedagogical and psychopedagogical support for students with specific educational needs with the aim of minimize the barriers present in the teaching-learning process and to guarantee not only access, but also permanence and the conclusion of the course by students served by this center.
Objectives
As an objective, the core wants to promote accessibility attitudinal, architectural, communicational, instrumental, methodological and programmatic to students.
In addition, NAEE also assists teachers and administrative staff in developing activities for ensure inclusion in all educational contexts. As an example, we have the guidance of didactic-pedagogical practice and physical spaces of UNIALFA, in addition to the free offer of Extension Course in Libras.
Main activities
- Structuring of customer service to students with disabilities;
- Guidance and training of teachers, students and staff so that they can teach, study and serve students with disabilities;
- Training, guidance and instrumentalization for teachers in adequacy of methodologies and pedagogical resources specific for use with students with disabilities;
- Guidance, description and adaptation of teaching-pedagogical material for students of the institution;
- Orientation and mobility to new students to promote their adaptation to the institution's physical space and support to the locations when necessary;
- Assistance in administering tests;
- Welcoming students freshmen and seniors at the beginning of each semester.
