Presentation
THE Master's Degree in Economic Constitutional Law (MADIR) from the Alves Faria University Center – UNIALFA has as its main objective to enable qualified training of teachers and researchers in the area. The course seeks to promote specialized regional knowledge that is capable of critically reflecting on local reality and problems. With solid interdisciplinary vision, the master's degree integrates Law with knowledge of: Political Science; Economics; Logic and Legal Hermeneutics; Sociology; Anthropology; Philosophy; Ethics.
Due to the paradigm shift that society is going through, the program understands that it is marked by intense transformations and the need to adapt its values. The changes are present in the international, national, regional and legal scenarios (the latter in the context of Brazilian Higher Education). They motivated the search for this new path in order to ensure production of innovative knowledge and train human resources capable of meeting the new needs of society and demands of the job market, promoting the country's economic and social development.
With area of concentration in Economic Constitutional Law, the course has two lines of research: Economic Regulation, Competition Law and Business Development Policies; Economic Development and Constitutional Principles of the Economic Order.
Research Lines
Economic Regulation, Competition Law and Business Development Policies
Emphasis is placed on investigations into business development, regulatory law and competition law, which are consolidated components of economic law. The critical-propositive and philosophical perspective is highlighted, based on constitutional law, which regulates the objective of the investigation in a macro-level manner. The purpose is to understand the problems of the global and Brazilian economic order, associated with market regulation and the plurality of possible solutions, considering the development and the national democratic environment.
Economic development and constitutional principles of the economic order
It is characterized by investigating, alongside the consolidated themes of Economic Law, the direct influence of the constitutional principle matrix on the economic order – related primarily in the sections of art. 170 of the Federal Constitution of 1988, with a view to socioeconomic development. The objective is to consider the model of economic development in the capitalist system, whether in the context of private relations or in the context of public relations, with emphasis on the provision of public services and the forms of State action in the economy.

- Only Master's Program in Law from a private Higher Education Institution in the Central-West Region (except the Federal District) and in the State of Tocantins;
- Area of concentration and lines of innovative research;
- Subjects with 30 and 45 hours/classes to facilitate concentration on the execution and participation of students from other locations;
- Agreement with the University of Siena (Italy) to offer an optional subject on Democracy and Development;

In order to ensure the production of innovative knowledge, the Master's Degree in Constitutional Law Economic (MADIR) of the Alves Faria University Center – UNIALFA has as its area of concentration the Economic Constitutional Law. In order to train professionals capable of meeting the new needs of society and demands of the job market, two lines of research are offered: Economic Regulation, Competition Law and Business Development Policies; Economic Development and Constitutional Principles of the Economic Order.
Economic regulation, competition law and business development policies
Emphasis on investigations of business development, Regulatory Law and Competition Law, consolidated components of Economic Law. He is a Professor at the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP - Largo São Francisco). He is a Full Professor and holds a PhD in International Law from the Law School of the University of São Paulo. He was a visiting fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law (Cambridge). He is a Regional Attorney for the Republic. He was Secretary for Human Rights at the Attorney General's Office (2017-2019). He was Regional Electoral Attorney for the State of São Paulo (2012-2016). He is the author of works on Public International Law, Private International Law and Human Rights.

Deputy Coordinator Dr. Helen Rose Carlos Rodrigues Guimarães
Doctor of Law from the University of Brasília (UnB); Master of Law from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho UNESP/Franca (2020); Specialist in Constitutional Procedural Law from the School of Magistrates of the State of Goiás (2017) and in Constitutional and Administrative Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (2012). Currently, she is the adjunct coordinator and professor of the Master's Program in Law at UNIALFA, as well as a professor and member of the NDE (Teaching Structuring Nucleus) of the undergraduate Law program at the institution. Reviewer for several journals (IBCRIM, PGE/RJ and UEG). Member of the research team of the Supreme Federal Court during the administration of Minister Luís Roberto Barroso (2024) and is among the authors of the research methodology that resulted in the work Relevant Cases of the Court.

PhD in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) (2022), Master in Political and Economic Law from Mackenzie Presbyterian University (2017). Graduated in Law from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) (2009). Lawyer and professor of the Law course at Nove de Julho University (UNINOVE). Member of the Technical and Scientific Council of CAPES (CTC-ES) (2017-2022).
Arnaldo Bastos Santos Neto
He holds a PhD in Public Law from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (2010). He is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Goiás, a full professor at FASAM – Faculdade Sul-Americana and a full professor at UNIALFA – Centro Universitário Alves Faria. He has experience in the area of Law, with an emphasis on Philosophy of Law, working mainly on the following topics: labor law, legal theory and economic analysis of law.

PhD in Philosophy of Law and Theory of State from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC/SP (2013) and Master in Philosophy of Law and Theory of State from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC/SP (2008). Collaborating researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences of the State University of Campinas – UNICAMP, with a post-doctorate in philosophy (2016). He was a scholarship holder for his master's and doctorate degrees from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel – CAPES. Professor at the Center for Philosophy and General Theory of Law at the Mackenzie Presbyterian University and permanent professor of the master's and doctorate course in law at FADISP. He has experience in the area of Law and Philosophy, working mainly on topics related to the theory and philosophy of law. He develops research activities with emphasis on the following subjects: genesis of law, law, power and violence, law and psychoanalysis.
