In organizations, logistics is related to the new competitive and managerial model, enabling the grouping of activities related to the flow of products and services and their management. Logistics is responsible for managing the supply of materials and components, their movement, control of raw materials, products in process and finished products, and distribution of these products. Business logistics allows integration between the areas of finance, marketing and production, enabling the simultaneous administration of managerial and operational activities.

• Promotes the safety of people, means of transport, equipment and cargo;
• Articulates and serves customers, suppliers, partners and other agents in the supply chain;
• Prepares management documents and logistical controls; 
• Structure and define logistics routes considering different modes;
• Articulates logistical processes in ports, airports and passenger terminals in different modes;
• Manages and supervises the receipt, storage, movement, packaging, unloading and disposal of materials of any nature;
• Manages the logistics system and its financial viability;
• Manages and coordinates maintenance, supply, nutrition and financial activities systems;
• Evaluates and issues technical opinions in his/her area of training.
