Students from the Journalism course at UNIALFA participated in a special class with journalist Stanley Brenner, who currently works at TV Pai Eterno and TV UFG, and has previously worked at TV Anhanguera and TV Brasil Central (TBC).
The activity was part of the Telejournalism II course, taught by Professor Blender Oliveira, and aimed to bring students closer to professional practice through direct contact with a journalist working in the field.
During the class, Stanley shared experiences from his career in television, addressing the challenges of the profession and the day-to-day dynamics in newsrooms. After the lecture, the students participated in a practical activity, in which they were divided into groups to develop journalistic topics in different sections, producing interviews and simulating news reports.
The guest also participated in the activity as an interviewee, contributing to the students' practical experience and to the consolidation of the content covered in the classroom.
Stanley Brenner, a former UNIALFA student, highlighted the importance of practical training during undergraduate studies.
"What impressed me most here at UNIALFA was the practical classes. Because it's a well-equipped studio, with various pieces of equipment and qualified professors. So it made all the difference when I was here at the institution," he stated.
When discussing entering the job market, the journalist emphasized the role of internships in professional career paths.
“The internship is the gateway. […] You get to know people, you get to work in the field, and that makes all the difference. And UNIALFA helps students a lot with this internship issue. So I think it's very important, it's a fundamental tip that students do internships to enter their profession,” he highlighted.
This activity reinforces UNIALFA's pedagogical approach, which values the integration of theory and practice and prepares students for the real challenges of the communications market.
