General objective

Train specialists to serve a specific field in the aesthetics and cosmetics job market.

Specific objectives

  • Provide students with higher education, specific to the area, which enables them to enter the job market in activities inherent to their professional area;
  • Enable the learning of essential knowledge for the exercise of the profession of Technologist in AESTHETICS AND COSMETICS;
  • Enable professionals who already work in the area to acquire knowledge and permanent professional updating;
  • Provide activities characterized by the planning, operation, control and evaluation of processes related to practices in Aesthetics and Cosmetics; 
  • Invest in the use of educational technologies that refer students to continuous changes in areas of activity;
  • Guide the student on updates regarding the market, technological improvements and legal aspects;
  • Provide students with updates on computer applications inherent to the technology course in AESTHETICS AND COSMETICS.

Field of activity

As provided for by the National Catalog of Technology Courses (2016), the fields of activity of the professional Technologist in AESTHETICS AND COSMETICS are: 

  • Modeling agencies;
  • Nursing homes; 
  • Clinics and beauty centers;
  • Cosmetic product companies; 
  • Hydromineral resorts;
  • Beauty salons;
  • Institutes and Research Centers; 
  • Educational Institutions, through training required by current legislation.

DR. CAROLINA FRAGA

She holds a degree in Biomedicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás. She holds a Master's degree in Tropical Medicine, specializing in Parasitology, from the Federal University of Goiás. She holds a PhD in Tropical Medicine, specializing in Parasitology, from the Federal University of Goiás, with a four-month doctoral internship at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Tropical Medicine and Public Health, specializing in Parasitology, at the Federal University of Goiás. Her research focuses on the following areas: Taenia crassiceps, cysticercosis, biochemistry, anthelmintic drugs, and high-performance liquid chromatography. She is currently a professor at the Alves Faria University Center, teaching both distance and in-person courses in Nutrition, Pharmacy, Physical Education and Physiotherapy, and Aesthetics and Cosmetics. She also coordinates the Podiatry and Aesthetics and Cosmetics courses at the Alves Faria University Center. She is a member of the Biosafety Committee at the Alves Faria University Center. She is a professor-tutor of the medical program at the Mais University Center.
