UNIALFA School of Psychology launches extension project focused on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Starting on November 8th, registrations for group training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy are open at the Perimetral Unit. Anyone who wants to learn how to better manage their emotions can participate in the project. The training will be held in groups of up to 10 people and we will meet weekly for an average of 2 hours.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) works through individual worksheets. Before each application, we will explain the theory behind each worksheet and then distribute them individually. We will prioritize the demands of the group, but within what will be addressed, we have: tolerance to distress, interpersonal effectiveness, Mindfulness and emotional regulation.

The working group is made up of students Patrick Ramon Rezende Ramos, Leticia Francinni Garcia, Leticia Luísa B. Bianchi, Jullys Roberta AM Sales and the professor of the psychology course at UNIALFA, Ana Carolina Aquino de Sousa.
