UNIALFA students promote solidarity action during internship at long-term care facility for the elderly.

The initiative collected food and hygiene items during activities held at Recanto Dom Orione.

Students from UNIALFA concluded the practical phase of their Supervised Internship II with a charitable action developed during academic activities at Recanto Dom Orione.

The initiative mobilized students in a fundraising campaign aimed at meeting the institution's needs, reinforcing values related to social responsibility, welcoming, and humane care.

The initiative collected food and essential items.

In one week of mobilization, the students collected 258 liters of milk, 75 packages of coffee, 2 packages of diapers, and 20 packages of PET bottles.

The activity integrated the practical experiences of the internship, bringing students closer to the reality experienced by long-term care facilities for the elderly and strengthening their understanding of health care beyond the technical and clinical environment.

Professional and human development

According to supervising teacher Larissa Cecília Ferreira Tavares, the experience highlighted the students' involvement and commitment throughout the entire process.

According to the professor, the students were able to understand, in practice, that promoting health is also related to solidarity, acceptance, and social commitment to the community.

The professor also highlighted the importance of practical experience for the students' human and professional development, emphasizing the impact of the experiences gained throughout the internship.

Integration between academic practice and social responsibility.

This initiative reinforces UNIALFA's commitment to education connected to the social and human demands of professional practice, encouraging experiences that combine technical knowledge, empathy, and collective responsibility.
