Art. 3 – The Degree Conferral Ceremony is an official act carried out in a solemn and public session, on a day and time previously set by UNIALFA.
Art. 4 – The Graduation Ceremony is a mandatory requirement for the issuance of the diploma.
Art. 5 – Only students who have completed the course curriculum, as provided for in the General Regulations of this institution, may request participation in the Graduation Ceremony.

- Disciplinary contents;
- Complementary activities;

- And other mandatory requirements for each course.
Art. 6 – The Graduation Ceremony must be requested by the student himself, at the Service Center, within the period established and previously published in the Institutional Academic Calendar.
CHAPTER II
OF THE ACT OF CONFERRAL OF DEGREE
Art. 7 – The Graduation Ceremony symbolizes the pinnacle in the development of a graduate, as it is through it that the institution presents him/her to society as a professional academically qualified to carry out his/her activity.
For this reason, out of respect for the efforts made by students and their families, appropriate formality must be observed, compatible with the importance of the moment for the lives of those involved.
Art. 8 UNIALFA carries out two types of graduations:
- Traditional Graduation Ceremony
This is a graduation ceremony that takes place in a public place, in the presence of the Rector, Professors, Speaker, Honorees, Speaker and other students and their guests. The date is set by the University Center and is published in the academic calendar.
It brings together all morning and evening courses (joint). It is held in the Maria Dilda Alves Auditorium and is free of charge for the student. Graduates and members of the panel wear gowns provided by the Institution.
- Extraordinary Graduation Ceremony
It is carried out on an extraordinary basis when the graduate needs, exceptionally, to graduate outside of the official dates of the academic calendar, in accordance with the rules established in Resolution 002/2017 of March 14, 2017.
Art. 9 – All ceremonies are official acts and recorded in minutes. UNIALFA hopes that the graduation ceremony will remain in the memory of all graduates, as the hallmark of an indisputable victory.
CHAPTER III
OF THE PROCEDURES
Art. 10 – Degree Conferral ceremonies will be presided over by the Rector or the representative designated by him, and must be organized in accordance with the guidelines established in these Regulations.
Art. 11 – The Degree Conferral Ceremony is an official, formal and legal act of the institution in accordance with MEC regulations.
