The economist's mind needs to be trained to formulate and test hypotheses on data and understand causality (cause and consequence).
Analyze changes in the market and economy globally, relating them to specific economic activities in the area. With this, graduates will have all the skills necessary to ensure the financial health of an industry, business or public body.
To train graduates in Economics who are capable of entering various professional sectors and participating in the development of local, regional and national society, as well as to encourage research and scientific initiation work, aiming at the development of science and technology. It is also worth noting that in order to achieve these objectives, the Economics course focuses on Capital Markets and Finance, given their importance for the work of economists, particularly linked to the development of new financial instruments and the expansion of international capital flows in the sphere of globalization.
