White Coat Ceremony brings together students from Health courses at UNIALFA

The event marked the beginning of a symbolic stage in the training of future professionals in the field.

On Tuesday, September 1st, UNIALFA held the White Coat Ceremony in the Maria Dilda Auditorium at the Perimetral Unit. The event brought together students from the following courses: Aesthetics and Cosmetology, Biomedicine, Nutrition, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Physical Education, Nursing, and Nursing Technician.

The ceremony is a symbolic milestone in the training of those who have chosen to work in the field of Health. By donning the white coat, students commit to conducting their academic and professional careers with ethics, responsibility, respect, and dedication to caring for others.

Symbol of commitment to care.

More than just clothing, the lab coat represents the responsibility inherent in the work of healthcare professionals. It symbolizes a commitment to science, biosafety, humane care, and the promotion of societal well-being.

Accompanied by teachers, family, and friends, the students celebrated the beginning of a new stage of their education. The event also reinforced the importance of the link between technical knowledge, ethical conduct, and human sensitivity in the practice of healthcare professions.

Technical, ethical and human training

For UNIALFA, the White Coat Ceremony strengthens the institutional commitment to training professionals prepared to work in different contexts of care, prevention, health promotion, and quality of life.

By bringing together students from different courses, the ceremony also highlighted the integration between areas that, although they have specific roles, share the same purpose: to contribute to the health, well-being, and lives of people.

The ceremony therefore marked not only the symbolic use of the lab coat, but the beginning of a formative journey guided by responsibility, knowledge, and commitment to society.
