Presentation

  • Livros e periódicos (nacionais e internacionais);

  • Produção intelectual da UNIALFA;

  • DVDs;

  • Dissertations;

  • Bases de dados;

  • Outros materiais.

  • Pesquisa Geral – por assunto, autor ou tema;

  • Pesquisa Avançada – usando operadores booleanos;

Therefore, failure to send the message, regardless of the reason, does not exempt you from the late fee or suspension.

UPDATE YOUR EMAIL.

Locating information and bibliographic materials

Location of bibliographic material, through online consultation of the local database, internet, regional and national collective catalogues.

Bibliographic switching (COMUT)

This service allows you to obtain copies of documents that are not in the collection of the Faculty Libraries, such as: journal articles, theses, dissertations and conference proceedings. It is intended to serve teachers, students, staff and the community in general who need information to complement their studies and research. To use this service, you must go to the Central Library (Perimetral), with the complete reference of the document: author, article title, journal title, volume, issue, year and pages of the article or, in the case of theses, inform the author, title and the university where it was defended. The request will be fulfilled upon payment of a fee that is intended to cover the costs of sending the materials.

Video Room Reservations

The video room is for the exclusive use of the academic community. To use it, you must make a reservation in advance at the service desk. Delays in occupancy will be tolerated for up to 10 minutes. The stay time is 2 consecutive hours, and may be extended if there is no subsequent reservation.

User training

User training aims to provide guidance on the correct and best use of the Library's products and services and to promote and publicize the use of the collection. It is carried out by appointment with the teachers, in their respective classes (during class hours) or carried out in groups, according to the interests of the users, also by appointment. The duration will be a maximum of 40 (forty) minutes.

Cataloging in publication

It is a service provided by the Central Library (Perimetral), which consists of producing the cataloging card to be printed on the back of the title page, made for the presentation of dissertations or when the book is in the printing phase, mandatory for the purposes of legal deposit.

Multimedia

The multimedia computers are intended to serve the academic community of the institution for study and research purposes, through consultation of the internet, databases (online and CD-ROM) and for typing academic papers. The time of use of the computers will be one hour per day, and may be extended if there are no users waiting.

Collection Update

THE Collection Update Policy covers all forms of acquisition (purchase, donation, subscription and exchange) of everything that will be made available to students. The collections are selected and acquired based on the syllabus of the disciplines. This selection is made according to the basic and complementary bibliographies suggested in the Pedagogical Projects of the Courses by the coordinators and teaching staff, and suggestions from the librarians.

When planning their academic activities, at the beginning of each semester, teachers and coordinators forward bibliographic suggestions regarding general and specific course training to the library for acquisition. This procedure keeps the collection up to date and ensures its expansion in an orderly and optimized manner, following the recommendations of official education agencies.
