On September 21, UNIALFA brought together students from five health courses: pharmacy, nutrition,
physical education, physiotherapy and aesthetics and cosmetics for a social action at the Community Work Center (CTC), in the Progresso sector, in Goiânia. In addition to health activities, the day included a capoeira circle, artistic presentations and delivery of fruits and natural juices.
The action, which has already taken place on other occasions, benefits the community in the region and counted
with the participation of artists, capoeira groups and teachers from the community.
Professor Fabrício Magalhães, professor and coordinator of the aesthetics, physiotherapy and physical education courses, highlights that “university extension is precisely about taking the knowledge learned in the classroom to the community, involving theory and practice, so that the community has knowledge about health.”
The services offered to the population were bioimpedance analysis and nutritional information by nutrition students, blood pressure measurement by physiotherapy students, aesthetic and cosmetic facial revitalization and physical education students also participated in football, basketball and table football activities.
