As part of the Urban Design IV course, under the guidance of Professor Flávia Cerqueira, Architecture and Urban Planning students are conducting a technical study on the revitalization of the Campinas sector in Goiânia. The work focuses on the urban requalification of the Campinas region. The study was published in e-book format and is available on the Architecture and Urban Planning undergraduate page.

Initially, the group started from design references, reading the local reality and identifying problems that guided the project guidelines. In this initial requalification study, the students highlighted “the soul of the place: memory, experience and heritage”. In the project, they also brought some revitalization references.

The chapters of the e-book include “History; Physical Aspects and Afforestation; Land Use; Occupation and Urban Equipment”. Based on these chapters, the authors detailed a diagnosis with some guidelines, for example, encouraging the planting of trees on the main avenues and strengthening public services.
