The 2nd UNIALFA Nutrition Symposium brings together experts, practical workshops, and scientific presentations in Goiânia.

The event promoted discussions about health, nutrition, and professional practice in the field of Nutrition.

UNIALFA held its 2nd Nutrition Symposium on May 6th and 7th, 2026, bringing together students, professors, and professionals in the field at the ALFA Events Hall in Goiânia. The program featured two days of lectures, practical workshops, scientific presentations, and integration activities focused on academic and professional development.

The program covered current topics in Nutrition.

The symposium opened with a welcoming session and a cultural presentation by the Goiás State Military Police Band. Following this, participants attended lectures on relevant and contemporary topics in the field, such as Oncological Nutrition, combating stigma and fatphobia, updates in Nephrology, and athletic performance.

The event also featured presentations of scientific work developed by students, strengthening academic production and encouraging research at the undergraduate level.

Practical workshops brought students closer to professional practice.

On the second day, the program was dedicated to practical workshops, providing applied experiences and direct contact with techniques used in the nutritionist's professional routine.

Among the activities carried out were Mindful Eating, gastronomic techniques for kidney patients, infant formulas in the milk kitchen, and anthropometric assessment.

Integration with partner companies

The symposium also featured activation and tasting activities conducted by partner companies of the event, promoting closer ties between students, the market, and innovation in the food and nutrition sector.

The symposium was organized with the participation of professors Adriana Luz Martins Sagno, Ana Luiza Araújo da Silva, Damiana Mirian da Cruz e Cunha, Maria Luiza Pereira dos Reis, Pedro Henrique da Silva Duarte, Thaís Fernanda da Silva Batista, Yasmin Santos Cerqueira, and the course coordinator, Lionora Oliveira.
